“What is it?” he asked, worried. looked around, and saw the corpse too.
“Jezus Christ” he said, being surprised himself. stopped screaming, because she needed to breathe.
“Calm down.” hugged . “It's okay.” He didn't really feel easy himself either, but still.
“Shhhhtttt...” he said. started to cry, being shocked from the surprise she got. She placed her arms around too and held him so hard that he almost chocked. started to sob a lot,
holding him really tight. She closed her eyes, not willing to look at the woods for a moment.
“I'm scared.” she admitted.
“I know, but we're together, huh? We'll get out of here.” looked at the sky. At least, today didn't seem like they were going to come out anymore, but maybe tomorrow, he hoped.
“It's my fault.” proceeded sobbing.
“No, it's not.” tried to calm her down.
“It is! If I didn't go to the woods!”
“Shhht! None of that anymore. Okay?" He loosened her for a bit, still holding her and looking at her teared face.
“Don't cry. I hate to see you cry.” He held her face upright with his hands, trying to wipe away the tears with his thumbs.
“Ne?” he said. Waiting for to confirm that she would try to stop crying. But she just nodded.
“We'll probably be stuck here for the night, but, I'll assure you we'll get out. Believe me, I will, Even if I have to sacrifice myself.” he said.
“NO! NO! JUST NO!” suddenly shouted to him. “I don't want you to sacrifice yourself. Just DON'T!”
was a little bit shocked by her reaction. Not like, “hah, what's is she sayin' now?!”, But more like, “oh, she cares about me.”
He hugged her again. “I'll never leave you. Never.” he said.
“Never ever?” calmed down.
“Never ever!” he assured her. They just kept hugging for a few minutes, until completely had calmed down. He let her go.
“Ehm, ?” asked.
“hmmm?”
“Can I hold your hand... just in case...?” She asked, a bit shy. took her hand and held it.
“No problem.” he replied, happy he was able to hold her hand.
“Now since we're stuck here, and it's already night, we'll have to find a place to sleep, I guess.” he said.
“Sleep? No no, not here! At least not here with this corpse.” She turned her head and looked at the corpse again for a minute. “yuk!”
looked again too for a second. “Hey, there's a bag”.
He carried her closer to the corpse, wanting to look in the bag.
“What are you doing?!” asked. opened the bag and started to look through his stuff.
“Hey, you're looking at the property of a dead person you know! Stay out of there!” pulled his hand.
In the other hand, was holding a lighter suddenly.
“Found it.”
“A lighter?” asked.
“Yeah, what else are we going to do? It's getting dark, we should make a fire. We can go somewhere else and find a nice place, without a corpse, make a fire, and stay warm for the night.”
“But then you'll steal.” disapproved for a second.
“It's a corpse. He's dead. And, do we have another choice then? We're stuck right now, and it's dark, we can't find our way home without light. So we'll have to wait till tomorrow.”
“But...” started to think about it.
Okay, what he said was right. You could steal the lighter, and go away to a nice place, but then maybe you'd get cursed too. Maybe you'd rather agree in 'lending it' and staying there, so that you could 'give it back' to the corpse. Or you could just 'not steal or lend' anything, keeping each other warm in the dark. What shall it be?
1. Steal and stay here
2. Steal and go away
3. Don't steal
